So what if I wasted 30 minutes today? There’s always tomorrow. Most people look at wasted time in this manner. They’re more concerned about wasting a days worth of productivity than a few hours or minutes. This is a HUGE mistake. You should be concerned about wasted minutes.
Visualize wasting 30 minutes a day for the entire year. In 30 Days that’s approximately 15 hours or to have more of a sticker shock that’s 180 hours a year taken away from your life. Here are some examples of wasted time:
- Looking for that document you can’t find.
- Having all of your attention stuck on something upsetting that happened at work, although there wasn’t anything you could do about it.
- Starting a project such as learning a language and then abandoning it.
- Taking on a project you don’t have time for.
- Spending time with people you don’t like.
- Doing things you don’t enjoy because you’re supposed to.
- Having insignificant and long conversations with people.
And some of the more obvious ones:
- Lounging around in bed.
- Surfing the Internet aimlessly.
- Watching too much TV.
Think about it. Always examine any lost resources! It will be a shock to your system and an eye-opening experience.
